Last weekend I was poinsettia shopping with Mom. We needed to get Gramma her big one for this year, and Mom needed to make another stop or two along the way. We are not fans of Christmas before Thanksgiving but we couldn’t resist the display at the General Store. Mom needed to do some shopping in this store on the way to the greenhouse.
On the front side of the store that is right off the highway, they had this display. Mom wanted to set me up on the bed with Santa, but since I am older, she didn’t want to risk me getting hurt, so I sat on the ground. This one looks great when you drive by!
Next we made it to the Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery. They have a lot of pretty planters out front. I like sniffing the pine needles.
Just inside the door they have another cute display. Once again I ran into the slippery floor thing when sitting. The employees were also distracting me because they said I am so cute and they wanted to pet me. I got lots of pets after my photo.
Mom says that Grandpa used to buy poinsettias for all his clients here way back in the seventies. They not only have all sizes of poinsettias, they have them as trees too.
Size isn’t the only choice, they have white, pink, and some other colors. We prefer the traditional red ones.
After the poinsettia shopping was complete, we stopped for one more photo of me in the adorable holiday display. Did you even notice me in all the fun stuff?
We always buy the triple poinsettia for Gramma. This is the one we chose and it looks great in her living room. She loves it too. Mom and I had fun but as always, the car part is not fun.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
